STATEMENT

Eastern Mediterranean NCD Alliance statement on the escalation of hostilities and conflict in Israel and Gaza 

With Support from the NCD Alliance

• We join the urgent call from our members, the International Movement of the Red Crescent and Red Cross Societies, and other humanitarian actors, for all parties to protect civil populations and respect International Humanitarian Law.
• Access to health services must be a priority everywhere, anywhere, including a continuation of services and supplies for people living with noncommunicable diseases, such as cancer, diabetes, and heart disease. 
• Humanitarian organisations and health professionals must be given access to do their work to alleviate the growing human suffering caused by the escalation of hostilities.
