Reaching out to your government representatives is an effective way to help accelerate action on NCDs and Universal Health Coverage, making clear what you want and why it’s needed. We’ve created this template letter that can be adapted to your context and organisation and will help align civil society messaging. We are stronger together!
This workshop brought together and mobilised roughly 75 members of the NCD Alliance network as we campaign together towards the annual Global Week for Action campaign, with the 2023 theme of Bridging the NCD care gap. It provided an overview of the Universal Health Coverage advocacy landscape, explored members’ current advocacy efforts towards closing the NCD care gap and achieving UHC and how they are adapting GW4A UHC Advocacy Priorities and Asks to support their work in country and provided member-led guidance on ways to carry out advocacy campaigning adapted to local contexts and aimed at key stakeholder groups. It combined the audiences of the three Peer Learning Advocacy Networks (PLANs) and the Advocacy Institute participating alliances.
NCD Alliance together with International Union for Cancer Control and FDI World Dental Federation put together a series of comments on the Zero Draft of the WHO CA+ for the consideration of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Body at its fifth meeting taking place on 3-6 April 2023.
This Africa Regional Advocacy Agenda of people living with NCDs was developed as part of NCD Alliance’s Our Views Our Voices initiative to promote meaningful involvement of people living with NCDs in the NCD response globally.
This virtual training aimed to introduce alliances in the Advocacy Institute seed programme to project cycle management and grant proposal writing practices to efficiently and timely respond to funding opportunities when they arise. Session 3 focused on project implementation, specifically the delivery phase. It will introduce theory, tools and templates for effective work management and team communication. We will also discuss project evaluation and closure, with a focus on sustainability.
This virtual training aimed to introduce alliances in the Advocacy Institute seed programme to project cycle management and grant proposal writing practices to efficiently and timely respond to funding opportunities when they arise. Session 2 focused on project planning, specifically the inception phase. It covered the key preparations for work plans, resources, and staff that need to be made during the planning period. It also focused on defining key outcomes, outputs, and criteria of success and the monitoring and evaluation systems for tracking work progress.
