Description
In the lead-up to the High-Level Meeting on NCDs (September 2025) and the Multi-Stakeholder Hearing (2 May 2025), NCD Alliance organised Q2 Advocacy Webinar on 15 April. This webinar consisted of two parts: a closed session for NCDA members only and a session open to the general public.
The first session for members only included:
- Information on the 78th session of the World Health Assembly (WHA78) that will be taking place from 19 to 27 May. We will mention the latest news on the budget, prioritisation, and side-events.
- A review from the Nutrition for Growth (N4G) Summit.
- Reflections on the Second WHO Global Conference on Air Pollution and Health that took place on 25-27 March.
- Information regarding the WHO GCM/NCDs Second General Meeting.
- Updates on the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development taking place on 30 June - 3 July.
The second session open to the general public, focused on:
- Preparations for the 4th High-Level Meeting of the General Assembly on the Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases and the Promotion of Mental Health and Well-being (HLM4; 25 September 2025) and the upcoming Multi-stakeholder Hearing (2 May 2025).
- How advocates can get involved in the lead-up to the Multi-stakeholder Hearing and what to expect at the Hearing.
- Suggested actions for advocates to engage Member States ahead of the Political Declaration negotiations.
