The World Cancer Congress, an initiative by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), aims to strengthen participants' impact on national, regional and international scales through a programme that features the latest successful interventions on cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care.

The theme of this year's World Cancer Day, "Close the Care Gap", is a call to action to raise awareness about the disparities in cancer treatment.

City Cancer Challenge (C/Can), The Geneva Cities Hub and UN-Habitat invites you to the second in a series of “Geneva Urban Debates” to launch the findings of a new report highlighting the role of cities in accelerating progress toward the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). What makes these city-led initiatives successful? What are the key challenges, and how are cities and their counterparts in the health and development community working to address these bottlenecks?
